We provide comprehensive,
person centred behaviour support.
what we do
ABC behaviour support is a registered provider of short term accommodation for NDIS participants.
We provide a unique ‘host family’ model of care. Qualified and experienced support workers are matched to each participant to provide specialist care. Support workers will welcome children or adults with a disability into their home to provide personalised support on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio of care. Each home has been assessed and matched with the needs of the person.
A host family will ensure you receive consistent and nurturing care in a family environment. Each host family is supported by behaviour support practitioners and provide programs for personal skill development and social skills.
ABC behaviour support is an NDIS specialist behaviour support provider.
We work with people 7– 65 years of age who are NDIS funded with ‘capacity building’ supports and have ‘Improved relationships’ stated in their NDIS plan. We work with you to assess behaviours of concern. We hypothesise the function of behaviour and provide you with an understanding of why the behaviour occurs. This is outlined in the Behaviour Assessment Report.
Based on the function of behaviour we develop behaviour support strategies. These include: Preventative strategies, Skill development programs, Reinforcement schedules, and Response strategies. We also provide implementation training, designed to help you support and better understand the person you care for. We provide regular reviews and update the behaviour support plan as behaviours improve.
We also tailor behaviour support strategies to meet your specific needs. We also offer methods for monitoring behavioural progress and recording outcomes, including: Data collection methods and NDIS outcome reports.
